Spicy beef pasta
Here is a delicious and easy one-pot pasta dish. This had a good kick, but you can tone it down a bit if you are a wimp :)
No more than half an hour from start to finish and very little washing up. Fantastic! 5 Star!
Ingredients:
100g Ground Beef
1/2 onion
Sliver of garlic
A grating of ginger
Squirt of tomato purée
Cumin
Chilli powder
Cayenne
2 tablespoons salsa
Beef stock
60g fusilli - I used whole wheat fusilli
On the table :
Grated cheddar
Chopped coriander
Sour cream
Let’s cook:
Brown the beef
Add the onion, ginger and garlic
Add the spices and cook for 1 minute
Add the tomato purée, salsa and stock.
Add the pasta, stir and cook over a low heat.
Serve with toppings of your choice.
N.B. You can add other veggies if you like, I had a tag end of a courgette, so I grated that in, with a few slices of red bell pepper. I’ll definitely make this again.
